245 new cases of coronavirus recorded in Nigeria- See breakdown by states

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported 245 new cases of the coronavirus (COVID-19) in Nigeria with Lagos having the highest number of cases,

Of the 245 new Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases found in Nigeria, 131 were recorded in Lagos, 16 in Jigawa, 13 in Ogun state.

Nigeria currently has 7261 active cases of the coronavirus with 2007 discharged from the day the virus got into thee country. 221 persons have died from the coronavirus disease in the country.

With the increasing number of new cases in Lagos by the day, the commissioner of health announced that the state isolation centres has reached about 90 per cent capacity. He revealed that soon, persons who test positive for coronavirus but with mild symptoms would be receiving treatments in their homes while only severe cases will be treated at the isolation centre.

Meanwhile, China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) has stated that the Chinese medical team in Nigeria are not treating COVID-19 patients in the country.
