BREAKING: Workers Shut Down Arik Air Operations In Lagos

Arik Air Aviation union workers on Monday shut down operations of Arik Air over alleged non-payment of staff salaries since April. According to Punch, they claimed that the non-payment started after the company placed 90 per cent of the workforce on compulsory leave and other “anti-labour practices”. The unions included the National Union of Air Transport Employees and Air Transport Senior Staff Services Association of Nigeria. ‘Unauthorised’ COVID-19 test center sealed in Lagos

A private medical laboratory in the Ikoyi area of Lagos has reportedly been shut down by the state government for allegedly conducting “unauthorized” COVID-19 tests. The Lagos State Ministry of Health who made the announcement, also advised citizens against patronizing health facilities which are not accredited by the government for testing or management of COVID-19 cases as this poses danger to the community and staff of such facilities. FG to shut down 3rd Mainland Bridge
