BREAKING: Workers Shut Down Arik Air Operations In Lagos

Arik Air Aviation union workers on Monday shut down operations of Arik Air over alleged non-payment of staff salaries since April. According to Punch, they claimed that the non-payment started after the company placed 90 per cent of the workforce on compulsory leave and other “anti-labour practices”. The unions included the National Union of Air Transport Employees and Air Transport Senior Staff Services Association of Nigeria. A private medical laboratory in the Ikoyi area of Lagos has reportedly been shut down by the state government for allegedly conducting “unauthorized” COVID-19 tests. The Lagos State Ministry of Health who made the announcement, also advised citizens against patronizing health facilities which are not accredited by the government for testing or management of COVID-19 cases as this poses danger to the community and staff of such facilities. FG to shut down 3rd Mainland Bridge

From Friday, July 24, 2020, the Federal Government will shut the Third Mainland Bridge for six months. This was confirmed by the Federal Controller of Works in Lagos, Olukayode Popoola, on Monday.
